Basket Range Wine is a family estate established by Phillip Broderick in 1980, among the earliest vineyard plantings in the Adelaide Hills. Now led by his son Sholto, the estate has developed a reputation for thoughtful organic farming and restrained winemaking. Working with the region's varied slopes and microclimates, Sholto produces wines distinguished by their freshness, structure and expression of place.

Hills Chardonnay brings together fruit from Balhannah and the Piccadilly Valley. Fermented and matured in French oak, with gentle lees stirring, the wine combines ripe stone fruit and lemon curd with white flowers, subtle spice and delicate toasted notes. The palate is concentrated yet finely balanced, with bright acidity and restrained oak providing structure and definition. Textural and elegant, the wine finishes long, fresh and savoury.
