S.C. Pannell is the project of Stephen and Fiona Pannell, established after Stephen returned to South Australia following years making wine across Australia and overseas. Coming from one of Western Australia’s pioneering wine families, Stephen has become an influential voice in McLaren Vale, championing varieties better suited to the region’s warm, Mediterranean climate and helping shift the conversation toward freshness, drinkability and site.

Grenache sits firmly at the heart of the estate, particularly through old vineyards across Blewitt Springs and Clarendon. Stephen’s thoughtful, restrained approach allows these individual sites to shine, producing wines that balance perfume and generosity with freshness, fine tannins and a clear sense of place.
