Founded in 1897, Accornero is based in Vignale Monferrato in northeastern Piedmont—far from the monoculture of the Langhe, with vineyards interwoven among orchards, forests and mixed farming. Now led by fifth-generation custodian Ermanno Accornero, the estate has long worked organically, producing wines of perfume, precision and classical balance.

At its heart is the Bricco del Bosco vineyard, a rolling hillside of clay, sandstone and calcareous marl. Within it lies the Vigne Vecchie parcel—64-year-old Grignolino vines rooted in pale, mineral-rich soils.

Old-vine Grignolino of this age is exceptionally rare, and the resulting wine shows remarkable depth and nuance—elevating a traditionally humble variety into something quietly profound.
