Nuzzella was founded in 2014 by Nicola Oteri and his wife Norma, who set about restoring 4 hectares of abandoned vineyards on Etna, planted to native varieties like Nerello Mascalese and Carricante.

The site is defined by a striking mix of soils—“white lands” of sedimentary rock and “black lands” from ancient lava flows, locally known as terremorte. Organically farmed, with native grasses and legumes used to promote biodiversity, the vineyards are alive with energy.

The wines reflect this raw landscape: whites are saline and textural, reds are perfumed and finely etched, and the rosato is vibrant and full of life.
