Leeona is a collaborative wine project between Melbourne-based Italian importer QuelVino and a group of small Tuscan winemakers. Working with organically grown fruit and traditional varieties, the project celebrates the more rustic, characterful side of Italian wine. The wines are made with minimal intervention, embracing texture, freshness and plenty of personality.

Bianco brings together Trebbiano, Grechetto and Malvasia in a wonderfully expressive skin-contact white. Ripe apricot, mandarin peel and juicy peach are joined by dried herbs, orange blossom and a little warming spice. There's plenty of generosity on the palate, with rounded fruit, chewy tannins and a lovely savoury edge. Fresh acidity keeps everything lively, finishing dry, textured and pleasantly grippy. A proper orange wine with plenty of character, made for the dinner table.
