2024 Bindi 'Darshan' Pinot Noir
Place: Macedon Ranges, VIC
Variety: Pinot Noir
Farming: Sustainable
Bindi is one of the benchmark estates of the Macedon Ranges, with Michael Dhillon producing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay of remarkable purity, detail and longevity. His thoughtful, site-driven approach places the vineyard firmly at the centre, with each of Bindi’s tiny blocks expressing its own distinct personality.
Darshan comes from a high-density, west-facing vineyard planted in 2014 in tribute to Bindi founder Bill Darshan Singh Dhillon. Red cherry and wild raspberry are layered with rosehip, blood orange, sweet earth and aromatic spice. The palate is beautifully lifted and energetic, with silky, lacy tannins and bright acidity bringing shape and precision without weight. Fragrant, flowing and remarkably refined, it’s an elegant expression of Bindi Pinot built around perfume and finesse.
