2023 Nuzzella 'Una Giornata Al Mare'

Nuzzella is a small family estate established in 2014 by Nicola Oteri and his wife Norma on the northeastern slopes of Mount Etna. Restoring abandoned vineyards and farming organically, they work with indigenous Sicilian varieties on a distinctive combination of ancient volcanic and sedimentary soils. Their restrained approach to winemaking produces wines defined by texture, freshness and a clear expression of Etna's remarkable landscape.

Una Giornata al Mare is a skin-contact blend of Carricante and Catarratto, grown at approximately 550 metres elevation. Extended maceration brings depth and structure, with preserved lemon, ripe peach and orange blossom layered with dried herbs and subtle spice. The palate is textured and finely gripped, balanced by vibrant acidity and a pronounced saline mineral character. Complex yet composed, the wine finishes long, dry and distinctly savoury.
