Domaine Nicolas Delfaud is a small organic estate established in 2015 in Verzé, in southern Burgundy's Mâconnais. Formerly a sommelier in Paris, Nicolas trained at Château des Rontets before establishing his own domaine. Working with east-facing vineyards on elevated clay-limestone slopes, he favours indigenous fermentation and restrained winemaking, producing Chardonnay distinguished by its freshness, precision and expression of terroir.

Macon-Verze is 100% Chardonnay from vineyards overlooking the village of Verzé. Yellow apple and white peach are layered with lemon zest, delicate florals and subtle baking spice. Finely textured with gentle richness from lees ageing, the palate is balanced by vibrant acidity and a pronounced chalky mineral character. Elegant and composed, the wine finishes long, fresh and distinctly savoury.
