François Cotat is one of Sancerre’s legendary producers, making wine much as his family has since the 1940s — tiny yields, late harvesting, native yeasts and old foudre. From some of his oldest Sauvignon vines comes a beautifully expressive wine, packed with orchard fruit, cool acidity and chalky minerality. Generous and full of personality, yet incredibly fresh, precise and unmistakably Sancerre.

From just over a hectare in the legendary Les Monts Damnés vineyard overlooking Chavignol, this is one of François Cotat’s most iconic wines. Deeper and more concentrated, with ripe orchard fruit, briny minerality and electric acidity — powerful yet beautifully precise, with incredible tension and energy.
