Cascina delle Rose is a tiny family-run estate in Tre Stelle, Barbaresco, farming just a handful of hectares with a traditional, low-intervention approach. The vineyards have been organically farmed for decades, with native fermentations and large-format Slavonian oak allowing Nebbiolo and the distinctive soils of each site to remain firmly at the centre of the wines.

Rio Sordo is a deeper, more structured expression of Barbaresco, layering black cherry and raspberry with rose, liquorice, dried herbs and gentle spice. Fine but persistent tannins give the wine shape and depth, while bright acidity and a distinctly saline mineral thread keep everything fresh and poised. Elegant yet quietly powerful, it’s a beautifully composed Nebbiolo with plenty of life ahead.
