2023 Alessandro Salvano 'Drink Wines Not Labels' Pinot Nero

Born into a winemaking family, Alessandro produces expressive, energetic wines from organically farmed vineyards in Montelupo Albese. Guided by a “Drink Wine, Not Labels” philosophy, he focuses on purity, freshness, and site expression. A rising talent in Piemonte, his wines offer a compelling, contemporary take on traditional Langhe varieties.

Alessandro loves whole bunch, but he really loves whole bunch Pinot Noir. Taking cues from the winemaking at beloved Burgundy producers Domaine Dujac and Priueré Roch, he pushes Langhe Pinot Nero into a territory otherwise unexplored. The most wild of his stable with some prickly Co2 dissipating quickly on open, it is visually, aromatically and gastronomically dark, benefitting from air and hearty fare.
