Born to to Algerian parents, Karim was adopted as a child by a family in Morgon.  His first career was a baker but eventually fell into wine, as one does in this region, and got the natural wine bug by working as a vineyard-hand and winemaker for some of the OG natty wine legends like Guy Breton and Marcel Lapierre. Technically a negociant, Karim is responsible for the organic farming and vinification of 5 hectares of plots around Beaujolais, with vines ranging from 40-60 years old. 

The name of this cuvee is 'Nouvelle Aventure' which referances the new adventure that he and daughter Noemie are embarking on in making this wine from Old vines deeply rooted in the granitic soils of Chenas.

Aged for 12 months in Cement and fibreglass, it is a wonderfully elegant and poised wine, showing aromas of raspberries, black cherry, rhubard and flowers. Silky and seamless in the mouth, it has balance, poise and extreme length.
