2022 Karim Vionnet 'Cuvee KV' Beaujolais Villages

Born to Algerian parents, Karim was adopted as a child by the Vionnets in Morgon. He has worked with the region’s greats—Lapierre, Breton, Foillard—as a vineyard- and cellar-hand, as well as assistant winemaker. He alongside his daughter Noemie now farm 5ha across Beaujolais-Villages, Chiroubles, Chenas and Fleurie.

‘Cuvée KV’ is his Beaujolais-Villages bottling—bright, juicy and effortlessly drinkable. Red cherry, raspberry and a hint of blueberry lead, with soft spice and a lightly savoury, almost gamey edge. The palate is supple and fresh, with fine tannins and plenty of lift. Crunchy, vibrant and dangerously easy to drink—classic Vionnet.
