Markus Molitor is one of the great names of the Mosel, taking over his family estate in 1984 and building a reputation for remarkably precise, site-driven Riesling. Working across some of the region’s steepest slate vineyards, his wines balance intensity and richness with the freshness and mineral detail that define the Mosel.

Alte Reben comes from old Riesling vines across some of the Middle Mosel’s finest sites. Ripe peach, apricot and lemon peel are layered with white flowers, herbs, flint and smoky slate. The palate has impressive depth and texture, balanced by crystalline acidity and a distinctly stony mineral line. Dry, powerful and beautifully focused, it finishes long, saline and remarkably precise.
