We are thrilled to bring you a lineup of 2020 Kabinetts, Spätleses and Ausleses from Mosel stalwart J.J. Prüm, including museum releases from the sought after 2015 and 2011 vintages.
The 2020 vintage in Germany was "the longest harvest ever recorded" for Johannes Selbach, another great Mosel producer, resulting in wines that "are more elegant than 2018 and less powerful than 2019," according to Michael Skurnik, the US importer of many great German rieslings.
Producers from further afield like Cornelius Dönnhoff in the Nahe and Theresa Breuer in the Rheingau reported similar experiences, with Cornelius making the bold claim that the "fruit was perfect" and Theresa highlighting that the conditions allowed for "excellent ripeness."
As always, these will reward the patient, especially the Spätlese and Auslese Pradikats.
