Domaine Henry Fuchs is a 10 hectare organic estate in Ribeauvillé at the heart of Alsace. The soil is a combination of limestone and marl with the former contributing complex acidity to the wines and the latter providing power and drive. All grapes are hand harvested before gentle whole bunch pressing and fermentation with indigenous yeasts.
Light, bright and quietly savoury. Red cherry, wild strawberry and a hint of cranberry sit alongside dried herbs and a gentle earthy note. The palate is supple and finely structured, with soft tannins and fresh acidity keeping things lifted. Easygoing but nicely detailed—delicious with a light chill.
