2024 Chateau La Sable Luberon Rose
$35.00
Château La Sable sits in the southwest corner of the Luberon National Park, surrounded by vines, olive groves and ancient forest. Of the 14-hectare property, 10 hectares are under vine, rooted in predominantly sandy soils (true to the name ‘Sable’), with some clay adding depth.
First planted in 1967 and estate bottled from 1986, it was one of the region’s early independent domaines. Today, Virginie and Jean-Marc farm the vineyards organically (since 2018), with a mix of stainless steel and oak in the cellar.
The wines are supple and open-knit, with a gentle, pillowy texture balanced by freshness—capturing the warmth and easy charm of this quietly emerging southern French appellation.
