Cascina delle Rose is a tiny family-run estate in Tre Stelle, Barbaresco, where the Rizzolio family has farmed since the 1940s. Giovanna Rizzolio began bottling under the estate’s own name in the early 1990s, working with just a handful of hectares across the highly regarded Rio Sordo and Tre Stelle vineyards. The vineyards have been organically farmed for decades, with native fermentations, long macerations and ageing in large-format Slavonian oak. Traditional and quietly meticulous, the approach keeps Nebbiolo and the distinctive soils and personalities of each site firmly at the centre of the wines.
