Cascina Corte
Cascina Corte, in Dogliani, has roots stretching back centuries, but its modern story began in 2001 when Alessandro Barosi and Amalia Battaglia revived the abandoned farmhouse and vineyards after three decades of neglect.
While Dogliani is synonymous with Dolcetto, the estate looks beyond a single variety—organically farming a mix of Dolcetto, Barbera, Freisa, Nascetta and, most notably, Riesling planted into limestone-rich soils.
Winemaking is thoughtful and varied, with a mix of stainless steel, oak and increasingly amphora. The wines reflect this diversity: Riesling is steely and pure, Barbera from amphora is lifted and vibrant, and the Dogliani Superiore delivers plush, generous depth.
A quietly ambitious estate, pushing the boundaries of what this corner of Piedmont can offer.
