Mount Mary is one of the great estates of the Yarra Valley, founded by John and Marli Middleton in 1971 and today continued by the third generation of the family. Inspired by the wines of Bordeaux and Burgundy, the estate has built its reputation on elegance, restraint and remarkable longevity, with Quintet remaining one of Australia’s benchmark Cabernet blends.

The 2016 Quintet brings together Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot from the estate vineyard. Blackcurrant, cranberry and plum are layered with violets, cedar, tobacco and subtle spice, while fine, savoury tannins give the palate beautiful shape and persistence. Medium-bodied, perfumed and remarkably poised, it has developed wonderful complexity while retaining the freshness and precision that defines Quintet.
