Koerner is led by Damon Koerner, producing contemporary, site-driven wines with a focus on freshness, texture and drinkability. While best known for Clare Valley Riesling, Damon also works with cool-climate vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, exploring varieties particularly well suited to the region’s elevated sites.
The Savagnin comes from the Dearney Vineyard in Balhannah. Lemon zest and green apple are layered with fennel, fresh herbs and a distinctive oyster-shell minerality. The palate is bright and energetic, with vibrant acidity, gentle texture and a briny, saline edge carrying through a long, savoury finish.
