Villa Job is a small, family-run estate in Friuli, working organically with a strong focus on low-intervention winemaking. Fermentations are spontaneous, sulphur is used sparingly and extended skin contact is often employed to build texture and complexity.
‘Risic’ is a skin-contact white built primarily from Pinot Grigio, with time on skins followed by ageing in old oak. The 2016 shows the benefits of bottle age—dried apricot, orange peel and honeyed citrus sit alongside tea leaf, almond and a gentle oxidative, savoury note. The palate is textural and structured, with fine grip, balanced acidity and a long, spiced finish. Complex, layered and quietly powerful—orange wine with real depth.
