Nuzzella is a small family estate established in 2014 by Nicola Oteri on the northeastern slopes of Mount Etna. Restoring established vineyards and farming organically, the estate works with indigenous Sicilian varieties on ancient volcanic and sedimentary soils. Its restrained approach to winemaking produces wines distinguished by their freshness, texture and expression of Etna's distinctive terroir.

Scarina is 100% Nerello Mascalese from 30-year-old vines planted at approximately 550 metres elevation. Brief skin contact and fermentation in seasoned French oak bring subtle texture and complexity. Wild strawberry and red cherry are layered with rose petal, Mediterranean herbs and delicate mineral notes. Dry and finely structured, the palate combines vibrant acidity with a gentle savoury character, carrying the wine through a persistent, saline finish.
