Domaine des Hauts Chassis is located in the south of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, covering 17 hectares across Crozes, Condrieu, Hermitage, St Peray, and St Joseph. Franck Faugier, the fourth generation to manage the estate, has been vinifying since 2003. Unlike previous generations, who sold their grapes to Paul Jaboulet Aîne or the Tain Cooperative, Franck’s 12 hectares lie on the stony Les Chassis soils, one of Crozes-Hermitage’s prized plots.
Beautiful perfume, fine spice, earthy wood, and rhubarb red fruit, offering a beautifully weighted, sophisticated, and deliciously long finish.
