2020 La Sorga 'L'Intravineuse'
Place: Languedoc-Roussillon, France
Variety: Grenache Blanc, Sauvignon, Colombard
Farming: Organic
Antony Tortul started La Sorga in 2008 as a pure négociant in Languedoc-Roussillon, sourcing organic or biodynamic grapes from old vineyards from Gaillac to Chateauneuf-du-Pape, the Languedoc being his favourite vinous playground. Antony is extremely rigorous in his selection of vineyards and is always looking for exceptional terroirs.
This super limited amount of L'Intravineuse is made up from mostly grenache blanc with equal splashes of sauvignon & colombard. The 2019 vintage was macerated for a year on skins and then some fresh juice from the 2020 vintage was added to balance the tannin and tone of the wine. Think preserved lemon, subtle spice with layers of tea like nuances on the finish.
