Pyren’s wines are as consistent as a Djokovic return. The winery was founded by current winemaker, Leighton Joy’s, uncle and father. He’s definitely bringing something new to the vineyard and cellar—to our mind, a distinct freshness that is at the front and centre of all of the wines. 

That freshness is most apparent in grapes, like shiraz, that are easily over-extracted and dense. It’s still undeniably shiraz in its darkness and depth, but it remains lively and brisk in the mouth.
