Sette is a splendid vineyard in Nizza, Monferrato, with five and a half hectares of vines aged between 20 and 75 years old. Purchased in 2017 by friends Gianluca Colombo and Gino Della Porta, they set about converting the property to organic farming immediately.

The ‘Sette’ wines are produced with the older vine material whilst the younger vine fruit goes into the ‘Mille Millilitr’ 1L bottles. This has to be one of the most exciting addresses in Monferrato right now, grandstanding the region through the frame of freshness, energy and vitality. Uplifting wines!

Grignolino, named after grignolo meaning seeds in Italian, is a many-seeded grape that produces lighter reds with fine but plentiful tannin. Gino and Gianluca handle it gently, fermented and ageing in amphora and opting for infusion over extraction. Best enjoyed cool, but not cold, with charcuterie.
