2021 Poderi Cellario 'La Grinozza' Rosso 1L

Fausto and Cinzia Cellario are 3rd generation winemakers in the village of Carru on the western outskirts of the Langhe. The family believes in only working with local, indigenous Piemontese grape varieties and fiercely defends local winemaking traditions both in the vineyard work and the cellar practices. Vineyard work is organic (soon to be certified) and all the fermentation take place with indigenous yeasts. Sulphur is only added in tiny quantities at bottling if necessary.

100% Grignolino. Hand harvested into small bins. Spontaneous fermentation. Primary fermentation in stainless steel. Re-fermented in bottle. Minimal added sulfur and no filtering or fining. Very crunchy and refreshing. A pure party wine, comes in a handy 1 litre bottle. Has a slight fizz but dissipates in time.
