2020 Gran Cerdo Tempranillo - Rioja (Esp)
Wonderfully bright and fresh from one of the rebels of Rioja: Gonzalo Grijalba. Succulent, juicy, aromatic and supremely refreshing.
2017 Domaine d'Escausses 'Cuvee des Drilles' Duras, Braucol, Gamay - Gaillac (Fra)
Domaine d'Escausses specialises in growing traditional local grape varieties such as Mauzac, Braucol, Fer and Ondenc. This juicy red is mainly Duras (75%) with a little Gamay and Braucol. Full bodied, dark fruits, spicy tannins.
2019 Poderi Cellario 'Galli' Nebbiolo - Piedmont (Ita)
Organically farmed, full bodied, chewy tannins, red cherry, dried rose. A really great example of Langhe Nebbiolo at an incredible price.
2015 Smallfry Cabernet Sauvignon - Eden Valley (Sa)
Biodynamically farmed Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the Barossa's best viticulturists duo's, Wayne Ahrens and Suzi Hilder. Now with six years under it's belt, this is delicious drinking for lovers of big, rich, powerful reds.
2019 Mallaluka Shiraz - Canberra (ACT)
Mostly Mallaluka fruit with a small portion from another Canberra district vineyard, just down the road. Aged for 18 months in seasoned French Oak barrels. Shows classic spiciness that we are so used to in this region. A high acid driven wine that begs for rich and savoury foods to enjoy with.
2020 Vino da Tavolo Rosso, Central Victoria (Vic)
As the name suggests, this is wine for the table, especially if that table has a red and white checkered tablecloth underneath some pizza and red sauced pasta. Mainly Aglianico, with a touch of Pavana this year, it is medium bodied, juicy and built for food that shares the same Southern Italian heritage of the grape it was made from. Allora!
