Francis Egly, alongside Jacques—and now Anselme—Selosse, and Pierre and Sophie Larmandier were a few of the earliest proponents of thoughtful viticulture and site-specific Champagne.
Egly’s holdings are predominantly Grand Cru and pinot noir dominant so that his Champagnes have become known for their richness and texture.
"The NV (2016) Les Vignes de Bisseuil races out of the glass, showing terrific energy and cut. White flowers, pear, mint, white pepper and lemon peel give the 2016 notable brightness to complement its mid-weight, focused personality. All the elements come together so well in this beautifully expressive Champagne, another new addition to the range. Dosage is 3g/litre. Disgorged: July 2022. Drink 2023-2032." Antonio Galloni, Vinous
