Pinot Noir is our favourite variety...no secret there, and here are three of our favourites that are currently receiving high rotation in our glasses.
2020 William Downie 'Cathedral' Pinot Noir, Upper Yarra (Vic)
Bill Downie has done it again! Plush, fragrant, red fruited Pinot Noir that is absurdly under priced and a sheer delight to drink.
2020 Stoney Rise 'No Clothes' Pinot Noir, Tamar Valley (Tas)
A no So2 offer from Tamar legend Joe Holyman, this has all things in it's place as you'd expect from this incredible winemaker but with the 'let your hair down' angle that comes with using no S02.
2020 BK Wines 'Carbonic' Pinot Noir, Adelaide Hills (Sa)
Carbonic Maceration occurs when there is an intracellurar fermention inside a grape with the absence of oxygen in a Co2 Rich environment. This Pinot Noir is named after the technique that is most celebrated in France's Beaujolais region. The ends result is primary, juicy, jubey charachters that are the hallmark of a lipsmacking good time. We love this wine and have bought Victoria's share for the last three years for good reason.
