We like Champagne that tastes like fruit and minerals instead of oak and yeast. As such we look to the great grower producers of Champagne to fulfil this need. Producers who farm organically and biodynamically, who work with reduced yields and properly ripened grapes and who let their magical chalky soils speak loudly and clearly!
This pack celebrates three of the very best of such producers. Larmandier-Bernier, Agrapart and Vouette & Sorbee are at the very pinnacle of excitement and quality in Champagne and this pack is an electric thunderbolt of flavour, intensity and unique texture that will make every occasion even more special.
NV Larmandier Bernier 'Longitude' Blanc de Blancs
Scents of just ripe stone fruit, talc, faint honey and toast, a light caramel note too, all adding up to quite subtle and pretty. Creaminess in texture with very fine bead, vivacious and fresh-tasting with lovely salty-chalky feel very present through the wine.
NV Agrapart Grand Cru 'Terroirs' Blanc de Blancs
Emblematic of the lacy depth and purity that Pascal Agrapart channels into all his wines, it is a wonderfully textured, pulpy and vibrant study of the Cote des Blancs. It is also utterly delicious.
NV Vouette et Sorbee 'Blanc d'Argile' Blanc de Blancs
It's a super mineral, nutty wine with crunchy stone fruits. There is lovely, pulpy fruit but also racy, crunchy acidity and terrific length with a twist of pleasant astringency. It takes you (the 60 miles) to grand cru Chablis and back again.
