Region: Burgenland, AUT
Variety: Pinot Noir
Claus’ Pinot Noir grows on brown soil and limestone, on a lifted plateau north of the lake where the temperatures are cooler - making it the most suitable site for this variety. It is spontaneously fermented in open top vessels after being kept on the skins for 2 weeks. - Notes from the importer, LoFi Wines.
This is a wine we fell in love with after trying the 2015 vintage a few years ago, a wine that is rarely seen as a single variety in Austria. This vintage needed a little more time to come into it's own. Light, pretty and perfumed, think Poulsard. Can be chilled. - Notes from Milton Wine Shop
Biodynamic farming, minimal sulphur at bottling
