Brothers Damon and Jono Koerner are doing good things in the Clare Valley. They showcase the region through lenses old and new, championing both classic expressions of riesling, cabernet and malbec alongside interesting varieties like sciacarello and vermentino.
Their Watervale vermentino spends twenty days on skins in open-top vessels before being pressed steel for a seven month nap. It’s vibrant, thirst-quenching and detailed. Expansive yet driven in the mouth, it finishes with a briny, mineral lick.
