We love Giovanni’s, i.e. Steve Crawford’s hilarious words here: Somewhat perturbed by the scratching of cigarette butts at his feet whilst pacing the shallows, Giovanni looked up with a perplexing gaze towards Vesuvius from Mappatella Beach. If only some harmony could exist between the paradox of the uptight and fastidious northerners and the chaotic and vibrant southerners.
