It’s easy to take wines of this easy-going nature for granted, but there wasn’t always a ready stream of well-farmed, joyous wine available and Jo Perry’s spring release captures this style with aplomb.
This is shiraz designed for unfussed early drinking. It’s hand-harvested in the cool of early morning then wild fermented in open bins. It’s unfined, unfiltered and sees only a soupcon of sulphur at bottling. Drink with gusto and good company.
