Charteris owner and winemaker, PJ, has a wealth of experience in the Australian wine industry, working at Penfolds, Lindemans and as chief winemaker at Brokenwood for twelve years. He brings all of that experience to his home of New Zealand where he makes excellent wines of great expression.
A low-yielding vintage produced concentrated fruit which was fermented 25% as whole bunches in stainless steel then transferred to French barriques (12% new). Generously-fruited and plush with supple tannins. Drink or hold for ten years.
