Their approach is refreshingly hands-off, allowing the fruit and vineyard to do the talking.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eSan Luigi\u003c\/em\u003e is 100% Dolcetto, grown on limestone-rich soils in the hills surrounding the estate. Juicy black cherry, ripe raspberry and plum are joined by violet, wild herbs and a little earthy spice. There's lovely generosity to the fruit, balanced by gentle, slightly rustic tannins and a subtle bitter almond character. Medium-bodied, vibrant and beautifully approachable, with a fresh, savoury finish and plenty of old-school Piedmontese charm.
