Something wild and fascinating comes of our Carbonic Pinot Noir… we promise we don’t peak at last vintage’s notes when we’re writing new ones, but – as we found in 2021 – we’re seeing shades of spiced, gamey Syrah and Gamay.

Beyond a big hit of Beaujolais on the nose are jonquils, earthy mushrooms and pretty, fresh-hay aromas. Full of the essence and bounce of youthfulness with medium weight, gentle tannins, and enviable length. We also discovered – quite by necessity mid-tasting – that it goes beautifully with Edam. A hint at some serious wines to come later in the season.
