Rob Burley found his place in the wine world after working for a number of great like-minded producers abroad, but it wasn’t until he moved to Australia and started to work for Bill Downie and Patrick Sullivan that the concept for Unkel Wines was born.
This is a fruit basket blend where ~50% of the grapes were fermented on their skins for a week then transferred to 5-year-old puncheons for six months before bottling. Delicious to smell, delicious to drink, chill it right down and be transported to a place with mangoes and lychees.
