Shadowfax has become a barometer for the Macedon Ranges, producing, with incredible consistency, great chardonnay and pinot noir. 

This single vineyard site in Little Hampton near Trentham is one of the coolest in the Macedon Ranges. A cool summer and spring resulted in a long growing season with low crop levels, providing great concentration. Hand-picked fruit was carefully sorted and destemmed, undergoing natural fermentation with only gentle pumpovers. The resulting wine is wonderfully pretty, but with great depth and length.
