Steve Pannell believes firmly in the future of Touriga Nacional in McLaren Vale. He also believes that it’s a flavour and texture conundrum: ripe yet fresh, dense yet light, dry yet refreshing. 

The concentration of flavour and papery tannins immediately command attention. As it travels in the mouth, it’s dry and textural and the finish, whilst initially perfumed, gives ground to a panoply of dark fruits that keep the contradictory sensations flowing.
