What started out as a parachute for the terrible bushfires of 2020 has now become a permanent part of the Ravensworth stable. Under The Long Way Around label, Bryan Martin sources fruit from Margaret River, the Swan and Tamar Valleys and the Riverland. This is his homage to the dry, moreish table red blends of Spain and Portugal based on Swan Valley grenache.
It’s a fruit-driven, slightly spicy, slightly herbaceous medium-bodied red that’s as lovely at midweek dinners as weekend barbecues.
