Place: Heathcote & Harcourt, VIC
Variety: Syrah
Farming: Organic
The Place of Changing Winds vineyard was planted in the Macedon Ranges by one of Australia’s great wine importers, Rob Walters. Somewhat new to the PoCW range are wines from Heathcote, originally planted in collaboration with Rhône legend Alain Graillot.
This is a blend of both Heathcote and Harcourt fruit and it is both impressive and intense. Matured in a range of wood and concrete for 16 months, it requires air and welcomes decanting—and hearty protein.
