Pat Sullivan insists he is a farmer first and winemaker second. The dirt under his fingernails is a permanent feature and his philosophy centres on farming gently—a custodian, not owner, of the land.
2021 was a low-yielding vintage so some bought fruit was needed to bolster the fruit from Pat’s vineyard, but what came off the vines speaks with an unmistakable Gippsland dialect. High-toned and vibrant, as always, with long, sinewy tannins in a featherweight frame.
