Place: Chianti - Tuscany, Italy
From historic Villa Migliarina, built in the early 1600s in the south of Florence, comes this classic, 100% sangiovese Chianti. The grapes are harvested by hand then fermented and raised in cement for twelve months.
It is bright and rustic, smelling and tasting of ripe plum, fresh cherry and rose. The terracotta tannins make this medium-bodied wine a great pairing for a slow-cooked ragu di carne or a brick-oven margherita.
