From the organically farmed L’Enclos du Tertre vineyard in Frankland River, the fruit was hand-picked and then destemmed directly to an open-top fermenter. After a week and a half, it was all basket pressed to neutral oak for nine months. This is the malbec we expect from Ryan: varietally pure in its dark-fruited disposition, but with that lightness that forms the DNA of Express.
