It’s always a pleasure to see a newcomer making good wines from the outset. Four vintages in and Charlie Mann is definitely fine-tuning year-on-year. He swapped music for wine in 2019, learning the ropes with Owen Latta, where he continues to work.
Grenache from Shay’s Flat Vineyard in the Pyrenees. Spontaneous fermentation using 50% whole bunches. Basket pressed to neutral oak for twelve months then finished in stainless steel for three months before bottling. Delightfully perfumed and supple. A real joy to drink.
