Chalmers are pioneers. They have imported over seventy different cuttings from Italy over the last two decades and are responsible for the propagation of over 200,000 Nero d’Avola vines in Australia!
Nero calls Sicily home, but is very comfortable in the warm Australian climate. Here Chalmers have produced a vibrant and crunchy rendition of the variety. An interplay between bright red berries and a chalky graphite mouthfeel makes it quite versatile at the table, though it’s equally comfortable being enjoyed on its own.
