Region: Pipers Brook, TAS
Variety: Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Gruner Veltliner, Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay Musque
Sinapius is located in the heart of the Pipers Brook in Northern Tasmania, above the banks of the Pipers Brook. The original 2-hectare vineyard was purchased by Vaughn Dell & Linda Morice in 2005 at the tender age of 24. They continue to show Pipers Brook in a great light, with high density, low cropping vines in the style of Burgundy. The wines always deliver and speak earnestly of their place and time.
'A unique field blend of estate grown Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Gruner Veltliner, Gewurztraminer and Chardonnay Musque all harvested at the same time and then spend 48 hours on skins. A highly aromatic wine with a bouquet of fragrant white flowers, orange zest, spiced pear, papaya and musk. A natural subtle haze in appearance, the palate follows with wonderful layers of texture, both savoury and saline, with enticing creaminess on the back palate and a hint of grip on the finish. No fining or filtration.' - note from the winemaker, Linda
